Last week, I had the privilege of joining an official US delegation study tour in Berlin and Hamburg where we explored Europe’s cutting-edge offshore wind industry. This effort was coordinated alongside a parallel CPEX delegation study tour. In Berlin, we met with federal agencies and industry experts who spearheaded over 20 years of innovation and advancement in this industry. This visit highlighted how Louisiana can grow its workforce, create jobs, and strengthen our position in the global energy supply chain. By learning from global leaders, we are preparing our state to be a key player in the future of renewable energy. Through this partnership, we are working toward translating Germany’s experience into practical, community-focused solutions for Louisiana’s renewable energy economy.
