Today marks the anniversary of when Antonio Lanotte joined the #Vernewell advisory board, a journey that echoes the very essence of innovation: challenging yet immensely rewarding. Reflecting on our journey, I'm reminded of the unpredictable path of technological advancements, which is rarely straight and often strewn with challenges. It demands #resilience and #adaptability, qualities that Antonio has brought. His expertise in digital transformation, circular economy, and digital assets has been invaluable. One of our most notable collaborations was the policy consultancy for a #governmental # #Financialinstitution in the region/I can't reveal more. This project, while immensely satisfying, came with its own set of challenges, primarily the tight deadlines set by Antonio. It was a painful yet thrilling ride, pushing us to our limits and beyond, ensuring that we deliver nothing short of excellence. As we celebrate this milestone, I look forward to many more projects where we can drive change and innovation together. Here's to more challenges, more innovations, and continued success in our journey ahead! #Christmas hasn’t come early; the photo was taken in #Rome during the festive season ?? #Vernewell #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #CircularEconomy #DigitalAssets #Teamwork #Anniversary

Americans want to see people from their communities at the center of the policymaking process—but elected officials across the country often lack lived experience with the issues they legislate on. Next100?counters that by putting the people most directly impacted by policy in the driver’s seat: providing training and support to help emerging leaders translate their lived experiences into tangible policy change. Really excited to embark on these next two years with Derrell Frazier, Cheyanne Deopersaud, Sofie Fashana, Rudrani Ghosh, and Nia Johnson!! Go follow their pages as well for policy ranging from labor policy and rights to better conditions and rights for those in the foster care system. #changemakers #changeisgood #policychange #policymakers #youthempowerment #youthdevelopment
Today is the day! We're absolutely thrilled to announce the arrival of Next100's latest cohort. From addressing climate change and criminal justice to tackling housing reform and growing worker power, our new cohort members will spend the next two years living in New York, conducting original research and policy development directly informed by the lived experiences of impacted communities. Please join us in welcoming kier blake, Cheyanne Deopersaud, Derrell Frazier, Nia Johnson, Rudrani Ghosh, and Sofie Fashana to Next100. ?? The labs (so-called TRAIN LABS) will be set up at the Balearic Island, Emilia-Romagna, Région Sud-Occitanie, Zadar County, Alentejo, Attica, Albania & Cyprus ?? A collaborative workshop for each pilot region will be organized to redefine challenges and missions within the local context and to co-create the principles for a call for participation. Participation in this workshop will allow to: 1?? Consult on the identified challenges and missions and facilitate its translation in a local context 2?? Co-design criteria for the call of participation 3?? Shape a shared perspective of what success looks like 4?? Learn new perspectives and knowledge of the mission; 5?? Establish new connections Stay tuned if you want to participate!
Well, last week we saw together the basic concepts, but it's true we didn't say how they relate to the project.... It takes a wise man to recognize that he was wrong! ?? If you remember, the keywords were REGIONAL INNOVATION 1?? , BLUE ECONOMY 2?? and QUINTUPLE HELIX 3?? ?? The project will test INNOVATIVE methodologies focused on supporting territorial decision-making processes by producing knowledge in the field of SUSTAINABLE BLUE ECONOMY, building on existing results. It considers the needs of the QUINTUPLE HELIX stakeholders to enhance innovation and research capacities through a transformative and territorial co-creation approach with the setting of regional accelerator laboratories Aw, but you still don't know where these labs will be created... that's right. Well, you'll have to wait a bit.... ??

Day 2 of the Systems Innovation Conference = overload! ???? Before I completely switch off, here’s what I learned today: - Miranda Dixon kicked off with a powerful case study on Innovation Missions aimed at reducing child deaths from hypothermia. The concept of a “payment by learning” funding model was completely new to me – definitely got me thinking! Check out the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/e8WmZGtx - Next up was Teun Sluijs, who delved into system dynamics modelling – a personal favorite of mine! The role-play activity he facilitated, based on the Algo Bay project in South Africa, was a fantastic way to explore multiple perspectives. You can check-out the simulation here: https://lnkd.in/ed55ngz8 ???? - Kate Wolfenden then shared experiences working with the Urban Land Institute and the development of a system intervention model. I loved the emphasis on “meeting people where they are” – a reminder of how essential empathy is in systemic change. For anyone in the built environment, this is a must-read: https://lnkd.in/emm2VKEv ????? - Lastly, I joined Mariana Mirabile's session, which highlighted work from the OECD on redesigning Ireland’s transport infrastructure for a net zero future. The integration of qualitative system dynamics with futures thinking was brilliant: https://lnkd.in/eYZvgGFx ???? At that point, my brain officially fried, it’s time to decompress and catch up with Mala Henriques over a much-needed pint. ?? How’s everyone feeling after Day 2? #SystemsInnovation #SystemicDesign #SystemsDynamics #systemsinnovation2024

Great Southern Economic Development Council #AmericanSouth Site Selection Summit! One of my favorite panels wrapped up the summit - Go Forth & Prosper: Capitalizing on Site Selection Trends! Thank you to moderator Jana Dyke, GcED, MEDP, and panelists Jay Garner, Bryan F., Alex Baker, Brooklin Salemi, and Cedric Colbert for sharing your insights. To paraphase Jay Garner, a wonderful mentor, there are three types of trends in site selection - lasting, contrived, and fads. AI is here to stay and will dramatically affect the workforce and our utility infrastructure. EV and Clean Tech are here, but policies may impact their future.
