This week, Center for Digital Textual Heritage had the pleasure of hosting Erik Nylander, Senior Associate Professor at Link?pings universitet (Link?ping University), with Katrine Fr?kj?r Baunvig giving him the overview of what we do at Center for Grundtvig Studies, Center for Digital Textual Heritage, and Unit for Song Studies.? Nylander's research focuses on educational institutions, including folk high schools and higher vocational education. During his visit, he shared insights from his project, "The Folk High School as Mirrors of Society," (Vetenskapsr?det / Swedish Research Council) which involves digitizing archival data from Swedish folk high schools spanning 1868–2019.? ? This aligns closely with our ongoing projects, and this week involved variations of project cluster meetings at Center for Humanities Computing,?presentations of the ComSing project with Senior Researcher Lea Wier?d Borcak and presentations of various digitization-projects at Center for Digital Textual Heritage.? ??
