On March 3rd we will host our 6th CCIV seminar of the semester! You can join us in person at Emory University or on Zoom. She then pursued postdoctoral training at Washington University in St. Louis with Dr. Christina Stallings, focusing on the role of the early immune response in controlling Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection and identifying bacterial factors that drive disease by altering early innate immune responses. During this time, Rachel identified host immune mechanisms that contribute to control of infection by suppressing neutrophil-dominated inflammation and regulating neutrophil effector functions during M. tuberculosis infection.
