The issue of Sex Workers in PNG. From Social Work perspective. The rise of sex work in Papua New Guinea highlights deep-rooted socioeconomic challenges, including poverty, limited education, and lack of employment opportunities. Many young girls and married women are driven into this trade by economic desperation, often resulting in family breakdowns and emotional distress. This a concern issue. Sex work exposes individuals to serious health risks like STIs, including HIV, and contributes to cycles of exploitation. From a social work perspective, addressing this issue requires holistic solutions—improving access to education, creating economic alternatives, providing healthcare and mental health support, and enforcing regulations to prevent exploitation while promoting family stability and community well-being.

Women have 1 male organ with sexual capacity (tongue) and 3 female sexual cavities (anus, vagina and mouth): ratio of 1/3. Regarding mammals this shows that males are less masculine than they are supposed to be and while females are as feminine as they are supposed to be. Celino

Cultural Diversity Day According to the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, people may experience the same disease differently. That's why it is essential that clinical trials include people with a variety of lived experiences and living conditions, as well as characteristics like race and ethnicity, age, sex, and sexual orientation, so that all communities can benefit from scientific advances. At KUR Research, we believe representation matters. We know cultural diversity matters. #BeTheKUR #KURResearch #makingprogresspossible #DEI #diversitymatters #inclusionmatters #culturaldiversityday

In Ethiopia, there are an estimated 228,00 sex workers, with that number estimated to increase to 246,000 by 2027. Yet no matter the reason a woman goes into sex work — economic, cultural, or personal — one thing remains true: she deserves access to comprehensive health services, including psychosocial support. To support sex workers, Population Services International/Ethiopia (PSI/E) is tapping into a network of existing facilities through the USAID MULU KP Drop-In Center program to offer not only #SRH services but psychosocial counseling.
