UPDATE : ONGOING RESTORATION EFFORTS AND PROGRESS 31 August 2024, 11:00 We are pleased to inform residents, businesses, and other stakeholders that significant progress has been made on the 132kV Chelsea/Summerstrand/Arlington line. As of today, all necessary repairs have been completed within the project timeframes. The substations associated with this line have been successfully energised, and power has been restored to most customers affected by the outages. Our dedicated construction teams have worked tirelessly to restore power, and we are now in the final stages of the restoration process. The operational teams are now engaged in a gradual restoration process to ensure all customers consistently regain their power supply. During this final phase, some customers may experience occasional power outages and disruptions as adjustments are made to stabilise the system. These outages are part of the normal restoration process. However, if your power is not restored within two hours, please consider it a standard fault, and report it to the Municipality for further assistance. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to fully restore power and improve the reliability of the electrical network. Our teams are committed to completing the remaining load restoration as swiftly and safely as possible.

Question 1?? on permit applications is often: what is the site address? When your site doesn't have an assigned address this can stop you dead in your tracks. It's often overlooked, but 911 addressing is an essential first step for many permit and interconnect applications. And understand that site addresses aren't just for receiving mail; they're also to provide a specific location for EMS to respond to emergencies (hence "911" addressing). So even if you don't plan to have a building on site, addressing is still important for sites like solar farms, pipeline valve and launcher/receiver sites, signal towers and other major utility hubs. The problem is that it can be confusing to know how to get an assigned address. It's usually a local agency that issues them, but the department responsibile for issuance varies - I've dealt with planning & zoning departments, the assessor's office, GIS departments, and even dedicated addressing offices. As I often recommend - the best way to start is usually with a phone call to the local agency to talk through specifics of their process and requirements. Then you'll be able to answer question 1 on the permit application ??
