The focus of this session is to emphasize the significance of choosing the right method for standard setting within a specific context and shares insights from experienced practitioners and researchers. Chad & Susan, along with Karla Egan, Lynn Schemel, Cedar Rose 11:00 – 12:00 Level 5: Room 505 (Queets) Maximizing the Value of your Technical Advisory Committee Presenters in this session will share diverse approaches for ways to identify and engage TAC members and maximize the value that they can provide. Meet Critical Care Transport Academy (CCTA) mentor, Mandy Gainey! ?? Why do you fly? For me, I love practicing emergency medicine and critical care. Flying allowed me to do both, while being outside the four walls of a hospital. ?? Why do you participate as a mentor with CCTA? One of my favorite things is watching someone grasp a new concept or skill. Being a mentor gives me the opportunity to come along side other clinicians that are excited to expand their knowledge base. I find that eagerness inspiring. I also love the friendships that I've built with other mentors across different companies, industries, and organizations. ?? Why should an employer hire a CCTA graduate? What makes them stand out? The graduates of the CCTA program show unprecedented determination to increase their skills and knowledge base. We have high expectations for our students that include hours of study, zoom calls, and in person conferences with simulations. Our goal is that each of our graduates not only find careers in the transport industry, but that they flourish as a crew members in their prospective organizations. Curious? Nominating Committee: I enjoyed talking to my network and identifying individuals who could not only contribute but also gain professional value in their participation. I was successful in nominating one new member last year and assisted the team in evaluating all new nominees. With so many commitments competing for your time, why do you choose to serve on the CEPI Advisory Board? I'm passionate about the value the CEP brings to our colleagues in the industry. As a curriculum that does not exist in typical college programs, the CEP content and support fill that gap and allow professionals access to an outstanding program. How has serving on the CEPI Advisory Board enriched your life professionally and perhaps personally? This is the first board I have joined and the experience has been enriching. I don't have as much time as I would like to contribute in a broader capacity, but what I can do is worth every minute. (AEP??) designation by the NAEPC Association. The AEP?? designation is a graduate-level specialization designed to recognize educated, knowledgeable, experienced, and ethical professionals within the multi-disciplinary profession of estate planning.
