It’s no secret that the path to homeownership today is an increasingly painful, uphill battle. This Fast Company article breaks down the factors contributing to today's market dynamics and names a few of startups working to save the American dream. Proud to see Antler portfolio companies Cedar and Stairs Financial listed here. Shout out to founders Malcolm-Wiley Floyd Kyle Vansice Rahul Attraya Nate Peters who are working hard to build products that will make it possible for us to live in the cities we love.
We need a trifecta of solutions to housing- policy that allows more building, construction innovation that allows more sustainable outcomes with a higher ROI, and financial innovation that enables people build wealth in their homes rather than be stuck in a rental cycle. Our federal politicians don’t take this up as a rallying policy issue because youngsters don’t show up to vote, the boomers don’t feel the pinch because the worst dynamics are about starter homes. This kind of recognition is the first step to solving this major issue. And innovators like Kyle Vansice @nate and Rahul Attraya are leading the path forward. Glad Caroline Healey and team see the vision so clearly :)
Good placements.
We are in at least 2 generations of how greed, coupled with energy, water and food poverty are affectively hitting the 98%. Science and economists are becoming more hyper-biased than ever before, and we need a solid mix of regulations (solid economics) and deregulations (so we can build easier everywhere). Gen Z, come on guys fix this mess :). At Team Choir Corp though, we are focused on generational impact for generational wealth. Alice Hill Jade Davis Celeste Fralick, Ph.D.
