Just attended this webinar. I’d really recommend catching up on the recording when it gets uploaded. Important consideration for school leaders to consider how they model their engagement with research. Ask yourself not whether your school engages with research, but how well it does.
Join us for tomorrow's breakfast webinar, where we'll look at using research to drive improvement in schools. We'll be joined by Mark Rickinson and Jo Gleeson who were involved in the Monash Q Project, a five-year partnership with the Paul Ramsay Foundation to improve the use of research in Australian schools. We'll also be joined by Kate Harvey and Natalie Manser, Deputy Principal and Assistant Principal at respective Q partner schools in Australia, who will share their insights. ICYMI | In Inside Higher Ed’s inaugural survey of undergraduate student success administrators at two- and four-year institutions, out today, these leaders tend to rate the educational quality and overall campus climate at their institution highly. The 199 administrators—most working in student affairs at the director level or above—also generally approve of their institution’s efforts to promote student health and wellness, and to prepare students for life after college. But they indicate there’s room for improvement in areas such as collecting and analyzing student success data, making instruction relevant for students, increasing students’ sense of belonging and financial literacy, and building trust between students and key administrators.
