Alright, so today we are ditching the old businesses usual playbook, OK? Because we are diving head first into this idea, a master of business imagination. It's such a fascinating concept for sure. MBTI. Yeah. And you know what? I think what makes this so interesting is we're not just talking about like some made-up buzzwords buzzword, You know, the idea of an MRI as described by futurist Jim Carroll, right? It tackles this like. Huge E issue. Ohh, Yeah. That businesses are facing today, which is, yeah. How do you do business in a world that's constantly changing? It's like the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about. Exactly. And Jim Carroll, he doesn't really sugarcoat it either. No, he does not. He basically says that complacency in today's business world is like showing up to a Formula One race with a horse and buggy. You're not even going to qualify. We're not even going to get out of the gate. Exactly. And he's right. We are in a global economy. Where, like, everything around us, especially technology, is like moving so fast. Warp speed. Yeah. Businesses, if they can't adapt and they can't adapt quickly and effectively, Yeah, they're gonna get left behind. Yeah. It's like using an old map to navigate a new city. Exactly. They'll eventually get there. Yeah. But it's gonna be a lot harder. Yeah. And a lot more frustrating. Frustrating than if you just had a GPS. Exactly. And that's where the master of business imagination comes in. OK, so less horse and buggy. Or they don't just navigate change, they embrace it. OK. I love that they see opportunity where other people just see disasters. Like, hold my coffee. Yes, I'm about to build a rocket ship. There you go. That's the idea. OK. So imagine you are an NBI. Yeah. And you're at this company that's been doing the same marketing campaigns for, like, a decade. The same old, same old, same old stuff. Right. And the results are just thinking going down like. You're just gonna accept it? No. No way. And every. I would not. Absolutely not. An FBI is gonna be like, yeah, hey, hold on a second. Yeah, People are engaging with brands online now. Alright, let's ditch the newspaper ads and let's look at social media campaigns. Let's do some interactive content, maybe even some virtual reality experiences. Wow. That's a completely different way of thinking. It's like night and day. Exactly. It's not about just throwing away the rulebook, right? It's about being willing to rewrite the rules when the game changes. Yeah, adapt or die, right? Adapt or die. Exactly. So an MBTI doesn't just adapt, They anticipate. They anticipate. And even more importantly, they inspire their teams to do the same thing. That's huge because a true MBTI, they realize. They can't do it all themselves, right? They need to cultivate this culture of imagination throughout the organization. That makes a lot of sense because you can't do it alone. You can't do that. You need to get everybody on board. Exactly. So it's not just about you having these brilliant ideas. It's about creating an environment where everyone feels empowered and safe. Exactly to share their what if moments 100%. That's what it's all about 100%. And you know, it's interesting. Jim Carroll really emphasizes this whole idea of like. You need to cultivate diverse perspectives. Ohh, yeah. You don't want everybody in the room, right, Thinking the same way, right. If you're the smartest person in the room. Exactly, you're in the wrong room. You gotta find a new room. Because the FBI's, Yeah, they really get that innovation comes from those like, yeah, unexpected places from having those different viewpoints, right. So you need to be open to you got other people's opinions, healthy debate, even if they're different from your own. Exactly. You can't be afraid of like, yeah. Ohh, I don't agree with that. Right. Like be open to it. Yeah, that can be hard though. It can be tough, especially in like a really traditional ohh, Absolutely. Especially environment where it's like. You know, chalk down, Yeah. You better not disagree with the boss, Yeah. You don't wanna rock the boat, Right? Right. But MBTI, MBTI, they create that. Yeah. Culture of trust, OK. Where it's OK to like, disagree or say, hey, I have a different idea, Right. And not feel like you're get in trouble for it. Exactly. And they're not afraid to admit, yeah, that they don't have all the answers, right. Which is huge. Which is huge because so many leaders struggle with that. It's that whole ego, ego thing. Ego. Exactly. Do you think they have to have all the answers? They have to know it all, and they don't. But an NBI is like, hey, what if we try this, right. It's that experimentation. It's that willingness to try new things. And that kind of ties into what Jim Carroll was saying about turning threats into triumphs. Ohh. Yeah. He said that he gets paid a lot of money, a lot of money by Fortune 500 companies, big companies, huge companies to teach them how to do that, to teach them how to do that. That's amazing because they know how important it is. Yeah. Think about how many companies, I'm never in the pandemic, during the pandemic, exactly. Businesses he just, they froze, they panicked. We didn't know what to do. They didn't know what to do. But then you look at the ones that thrived, the ones that pivoted, right? They changed their whole business model practically overnight. They took that opportunity. They were like, they saw the opportunity. OK, wait a minute. Instead of the threat. Yeah. How can we make this work? Exactly. So how do you make that mental shift? Yeah, that's the $1,000,000 question. Because it's not easy. It's not easy to go from Oh my God, the sky is falling, right? Like what do you do? Right? I'm gonna build a trampoline park. Exactly right. It really starts with that MBTI mindset, OK, which is embracing those challenges, OK, as opportunities. So instead of freaking out, you're like, yeah, alright, let's look at this. OK, We how can we make this work for us exactly? How can we innovate? How can we grow from this? So it's that constant. It's constant. How can we do it better? Yes, exactly. It's that always striving, always asking that question. To improve, how can we do it better? What can we improve? Yeah. And not being afraid to tear down the old blueprints. Yes. And start over, start fresh. Exactly. If that's what it takes. Because sometimes you have to. And they're not afraid to do that, right? They're not married to their old ideas. Exactly. They're like, well, this is how we've always done it, right? They're like, if there's a better way to do it, yeah, let's do it. Let's do it. Let's be open to it, right? Which is huge. And it's also about being open to feedback. Ohh, 100%. Even criticism, right? You gotta be able to take it because sometimes. Somebody else has a better idea. They have a different perspective. And that's what that's how you make the idea stronger. Just like that whole thing. You don't, you don't want, yes, people around you. You don't want yes people. You want people who are gonna challenge you 100%. You need those people who are gonna be like, yeah, I don't know about that, right. Or have you thought about it this way? Because that's how you grow. Exactly. That's how you grow. So this all sounds amazing. Yeah. But it takes work. It does. It takes work to cultivate this mindset. It's not something that happens. Overnight, right? It's a process. It's not like flipping a switch. No. It's not like you just suddenly become an MBTI, Right? It's a journey. It's process. It's a process of learning and unlearning and relearning. Yeah. Because what worked yesterday exactly might not work tomorrow. It might not work today, even. Yeah. The world is changing so quickly. Yeah. You gotta constantly be learning. You have to be a lifelong learner. Lifelong learner. That's it. That's what Jim Carroll really emphasizes. So it's not just about if you're not learning. Yeah. Falling behind, Right. It's like. You try to run a marathon, Yes. With like a 5K training plan. Exactly. You're gonna hit the wall. You're gonna hit the wall. Yeah. And you're not gonna be able to finish, aren't gonna make it. And that's what it's like in the business world, 100%. And it's not even just about, like, keeping up with the latest trends either. No, it's not enough. You have to be ahead of the curve, going to be setting the trends, not following them, Right. You gotta be the one that's like 2 steps ahead. Exactly. That's the. The more I hear about this whole FBI thing, Yeah. The more I'm thinking, yeah, this is bigger. And just business. Ohh, absolutely. This is like, it's a whole approach to life. It's a mindset. It's about how you approach everything. It's like embracing that. Yeah. Constant growth, that curiosity. Never stop learning, never stop asking questions. Yeah. And using your imagination. Exactly. So for our listeners who are like, yeah, alright, I'm sold. I want to be an FBI, right? Where do I even begin? That's the question, isn't it? It's like, and there's no like magic formula, right? No one-size-fits-all. Yeah. But I think what Jim Carroll would say is, yeah, start by taking a look in the mirror, OK, And asking yourself, yeah, what really gets you going? Like, what am I actually passionate about? What am I passionate about? Yeah. What problems do I want to solve? Right. Because it's gotta be more than just. I can't just be about climbing that corporate ladder, climbing the ladder, making more money. That's not gonna. It's gotta be more than that. It's getting more than that. It's gotta be about finding that thing. Yeah, That really lights you up inside. And then figuring out how to make that, how to pursue that. Yeah. How to bring that to life. And then it's surrounding yourself with the right people. Ohh, 100%. Jim Carroll talks a lot about that, too. You become who you surround yourself with. It's like that saying, right, Yeah. You're the average of the five people you hang out with the most. Exactly. So if you want to be an MBTI, Yeah. Gotta be around other MBTI or people. You're gonna push you. Yeah. Who are gonna challenge you, inspire you. Inspire you. Exactly. Yeah. And who bring something different to the table. It's about building that network. That's it. That supports your growth. Absolutely. And encourages you to think outside the box because that's how you grow, right? You gotta get out of your comfort zone. You gotta be willing to take risks. Take risks, 100%. And you know what? Sometimes, Yeah. You're going to fail. You're going to fail. But that's OK because part of it, that's how you learn. That's how you learn. You embrace those failures. You gotta fail forward. You fail forward. You learn from it. Yeah. And you move on and you try again. You get back up, you dust yourself off and you keep going. Exactly. And that's how you become. That's the journey. A master of business imagination. That's the FBI in a nutshell. I love. Well, this has been such an incredible conversation. It's been a lot of fun. I feel like we could talk about this for hours. Ohh. I know there's so much more to explore, but we are out of time. Yeah. We'll have to save it for another deep dive. Absolutely. Another deep dive. But for our listeners, we'll leave you with this. Yeah. What what if moment will you explore today? What are you going to do today to tap into your inner MBTI? We challenge you. Yes, we challenge. Unlock that potential. Embrace that imagination. And until next time. Keep those imaginations soaring. Absolutely. Keep dreaming big.要查看或添加评论,请登录
