Seems a lifetime ago since the assassination attempt on Trump, as multiple investigations are underway to determine how a 21 year old punk outwitted what we have always been told is the premiere human security service the world has ever known, aka, the Secret Service. I listened once again to the acting directors testimony and wanted to point out a few things commentators on the idiot box haven't discussed. When answering the question of why the morale of the SS is the lowest of all Federal agencies, his response was people have the right to criticize their bosses. Bet you a nickel if you polled the SS personnel, they would tell you that the management throughout the agency is horrible. It reminds me when our current VP was a Senator and asked the new Director of Homeland Security, retired Marine General Kelly, the exact same question about DHS. His response was that poll was taken under the former administration and morale has greatly improved under current leadership. Leadership matters! The acting Director told us recruiting was a problem. When I was in the process of retiring in 2009, I went to several Job Fairs for veterans and never once saw a SS recruiter. Seems the military would be prime hunting grounds for the SS, so I wonder what their recruiting effort really entails? This will all end with the SS receiving hundreds of millions of dollars more because money is suppose to fix everything. I have a real world example of how snipers will not be able to shoot Trump from distance. I will do this for half a billion so I'm saving taxpayers alot of money. A long time ago, in a land far away, I was working with the Brits on a Brit controlled base. Our perimeter was concertina wire and our billeting was a stones throw from that perimeter. Their was a 3-story building 200 yards away and we always complained to the Brits that we were easy targets. One day, a sniper hit a Army 2nd Lieutenant in the neck as he exited our building. The next day, the Brits put up 20 ft high black tarp like roofers put on roofs right next to the concertina wire blocking the view of snipers. No more sniper issues. I will do the same at Trump rallies and we can even project dolphins and unicorns on the tarp so it's really catchy. Billions is not the answer to solving the SS issues. Good leadership and people capable of solving simple problems with simple solutions is the answer. Veterans are trained to do both! #veterans #veteranshelpingveterans #marines #marinecorps
