Describe drone careers on the horizon. Drones are beginning to change business everywhere. Concern for international security is driving investment in drone technology for defense purposes that has generated concern for collaboration in policy development and enforcement. Most of the ways that drone technology and use is expanding are from hovering over football fields to delivering medicine and weapons of war, and monitoring crop production. Our question is, are we offering the assortment of career awareness and mentoring programs up to the challenge of stimulating learner interest in career opportunities in the drone arena that do not require education beyond high school? We are soliciting articles describing drone applications as the offshoot of aviation science that represents growth in career opportunity for a diverse student population. Focus on traditional skills will not meet the new needs of 21st-century America as drone use and amusement grows. Drone training programs can open vast career opportunities for youth as rule changes demonstrate the trend toward more pilotless flights.
