Embarking on social sustainability with in the Oil Palm production areas ,MAAIF Uganda through the National Oil Palm Project and Solidaridad East and Central Africa aim at conservation, restoration, development through Identifying, profiling and mapping of important Cultural and Heritage sites in Kalangala district with guidance @Ugandamuseums, Uganda National Commission for UNESCO, @localgovernment, and tourism office Sites Mapped and profiled include; 1) Bugoma- Mapeera pilgrimage site- First Catholic missionary stop over in Uganda (Fr. Amans Delmas, Fr Lourdel Simeon (mapeera)) 2) SSese tree 3) Luggo cultural Forest reserve- Source of the Ddamula 4) John Speke Fort 5) Kiwumulo cultural Cave The project aims at developing of management plans for the sites, creating awareness and prevent extinction of these important sites that hold great value to the people and country at large.

?? Reflecting on Mazingira Day with Green Action Movement! ?? Last week, we celebrated Mazingira Day with impactful activities that highlighted our commitment to protecting and preserving the environment. Although the day has passed, the significance of conservation continues to be a top priority for us at Green Action Movement. During the event, we engaged in #treeplanting at Kabarnet High school, #cleanupactivity in Kabarnet town and it's environs, and #awarenesscampaigns with Kenya Forest Service, various department of County government of Baringo, Kenya Red cross society, National Environment Management Authority, (NEMA) Baringo and students from several schools within Baringo Central Constituency. We came together to make a tangible difference in our local environment. It's a reminder that every day is an opportunity to contribute to a cleaner, greener planet. ??
