Fireworks can be stressful for dogs, so here are some tips to keep them calm and secure: 1. **Keep Them Indoors**: Create a safe space with their favorite toys and treats. 2. **White Noise**: Use music or TV to drown out the loud noises. 3. **Identification**: Ensure your dog’s collar has up-to-date ID tags. 4. **Exercise Early**: Tire them out with a walk or play session before the festivities begin. 5. **Stay Calm**: Your calm demeanor will help reassure your pet. Enjoy the celebrations while keeping our canine companions safe and happy!

Now Halloween is over, it's time to turn your attention to your Christmas celebrations. ?? You could come and join me and Mr S for some festive fun. Or better still, you could connect and celebrate with your team. How about you take advantage of having your team all together on the day of your Christmas lunch/ dinner/ party and use this time to connect, reflect and celebrate. You could end your year reflecting on how you've done, celebrate success and create actions for 2024. Or, is there something you and your team really care about and you've not been able to give it time yet. Or, would you like some facilitated fun that gets results. What would this look like for you if you invested some time with your team this December? How would you like to end the year with your team and set the tone for 2024? When the naughty are rewarded.. Watch the ad first so I don’t spill the tea for you. As Christmas approaches, so will the wave of feel-good Christmas ads. This one has a familiar narrative that draws you into happy families preparing for Christmas, and one Grinch-like character ruining it. Then as expected, to fight or convert every villain there is a hero, in this case, a little girl. She bestows her kindness upon this angry little creature. Considering the festive context, I expected the little guy's heart to be touched and him to start participating in the festival. Instead, the next scene reveals, the kid joining him in his destruction. With the message of Myer’s - gifts for the naughty and nice. The fun plot twist conveys the message of “gifts for everyone” in a memorable way. What I loved about the ad is that instead of showing sharing joy in a very traditional “nice” way, it shows sharing joy in a “naughty way.” The villain and “hero” are a fictional character and a child, which makes their poor behavior acceptable to the audience and lowers their defenses. The ad brings childhood nostalgia, where shared naughtiness brings umpteen joy. We bond better with people who share our quirks, our weirdness, and niche tastes,? than those who like the parts of us that cater to the masses. The last disapproving look from the family feels all too familiar, the one we often got, when we had that one naughty friend, who would supposedly corrupt us forever, putting our future at risk! https://lnkd.in/gmdAqmCY #Marketing #Advertising

With Bonfire Night on November 5th, and many events happening all around this time of year, it’s important to prepare for the festivities while ensuring the safety and well-being of your pets, children, and others who may be affected, for example, veterans. We understand that fireworks in London can be both exciting and distressing. Taking a few precautions can make a big difference. Here are some essential tips for keeping your loved ones safe during the celebrations. Create a Safe Space for Pets Fireworks can be unsettling for pets, so it’s crucial to create a calm and secure environment for them. Ensure your pets have a quiet space indoors where they can retreat when fireworks start. This could be a cosy room or a designated safe area with their bed, toys, and water. Close windows and doors to minimise the noise, and consider using calming pet products such as pheromone diffusers or anxiety wraps. Classic FM plays calming music most years, a programme they’ve created in collaboration with the RSPCA. This, or some other soothing music, can help cover up some of the fireworks noise. Whether or not you're planning your own Independence Day celebration, it's important to take precautions to keep your pets safe before, during and after Fourth of July festivities. ??Make sure your pets have identification tags with up-to-date information. ??Make sure the environment is safe and secure. If your neighbors set off fireworks at an unexpected time, is your yard secure enough to keep your pet contained? ??Leave your pets at home when you go to parties, fireworks displays, parades and other gatherings. ??Loud fireworks, unfamiliar places and crowds can all be very frightening to pets, and there's great risk of pets becoming spooked and running away. ??Keep your pets inside if you or your neighbors are setting off fireworks. ??Keep sparklers, glow sticks, fireworks, charcoal and kabob skewers away from curious pets.
