Let’s go through each aspect and discuss the MDS impact: #1 – QUALITY OF CARE → An MDS assessment is a written record of a patient’s medical care. When this is done more accurately, nurses have a clearer picture of how to best treat patients. #2 – REIMBURSEMENT → Every MDS staff member knows that MDS assessments drive reimbursement.
