CarbonBlue is growing, and we’d like to introduce our latest addition to the team. Please meet our new Office and Administration Manager, Efrat Wolf! Efrat brings an impressive 26 years of knowledge and experience with her, having worked in everything from startups to large companies, leading purchasing and logistics projects as well as overall administration, creating conducive, positive work environments with her own unique touch. When she’s not at our Haifa and Maagan Michael offices, Efrat can be found volunteering with nature conservation NGOs, rescuing sea turtles, and filming the small family of badgers that like to visit her back yard (she even has a YouTube channel dedicated to their antics!) Efrat – welcome to the team!

Summing up a productive trip to the USA before I return to NYC climate week. I had the pleasure of attending the E-Fuel Summit 2024 in Conroe, Texas. It was a great event — a focused meet-up of professionals from the industry that you usually see on the stages of mega-events, only in an intimate setting that allowed for deep conversations on the future of the e-fuel industry. I feel truly fortunate to have met so many industry leaders and innovators over the two days of the conference. Cathryn Estes, Wagner Canelhas, Antonio Villaluenga, Andy Ralph, Mauricio Acevedo, Tyler Cole, your insightful presentations, meetings, or just sharing a drink at the end of the day made this conference highly enjoyable and beneficial. Further than that, traveling and advancing our mission around Texas, Louisiana, and NYC with Dan Deviri was the perfect mix of business and pleasure. On to the next one!

Israel-based climate tech startup CarbonBlue has raised over €9 million in Seed Funding, led by Ibex Investors and FreshFund, that will facilitate an expansion of the company’s carbon dioxide removal (CDR) hardware for water-utilising facilities, such as desalination plants.
On August 26-27, CarbonBlue's Director of Sales Tal Katz and CEO Dr. Dan Deviri will be attending the 2024 E-Fuels Summit in Texas. What does a CDR company like CarbonBlue have to do with e-fuels? That’s just what Dan will be discussing in his talk there. If we want to stay under 1.5 degrees C of global warming, removing CO2 from the atmosphere is one important part of the solution – but switching over to sustainable energy sources is another. When we talk about “sustainable energy,” we tend to think about electrification of infrastructure, like electric vehicles and electric heating, but some critical technologies and infrastructure can't be electrified. This is where sustainable fuels – or e-fuels – come in. And as it turns out, CarbonBlue’s technology has massive potential for this mission-critical industry. We're very proud to announce that CarbonBlue has been chosen to receive Israel Innovation Authority ???? ???????'s prestigious grant for startups, awarding us $1.5M, which will allow us to further expand research and development of our Direct Water Capture technology! The news is finally out! We’re proud to announce that we’ve secured over $10M in our #seed round, led by Ibex Investors and Fresh Fund, joined by strategic partners ENGIE New Ventures and ZIM Integrated Shipping Services 's ZIM Ventures, and our existing investors Jibe Ventures, MoreVC, Secret Chord Ventures, Alex Liakhovetsky, and Avishag Bohbot.
