CRC is proud that the Kern County Board of Supervisors today unanimously approved the conditional use permit for the Carbon TerraVault I carbon capture and storage (CCS) project. This decision follows the Kern County Planning Commission's recommendation last month and marks a key milestone in CRC’s efforts to develop California’s first carbon capture and storage project. Today’s decision is a significant step forward for Kern County and CRC in supporting energy transition in California. We look forward to progressing this ground-breaking project, which aligns with CRC's commitment to California’s climate goals and our journey toward a sustainable future. #CAEnergyFuture #CarbonTerraVault #NetZero2045 #Sustainability #KernCounty #CleanEnergy

Decarbonization is not rocket science, but it is profoundly crucial for the built environment. Kicking off today in New York City, the 2024 ASHRAE Decarbonization Conference highlights the critical role tall buildings play in our fight against climate change. This event isn't just about the complexities of reducing carbon emissions; it's a call to action for practical, impactful changes in how we build and operate buildings to lower their environmental footprint. From using renewable energy to enhancing efficiency, the conference explores how we can, and must, make our existing large and tall buildings part of the solution. #Decarbonization #SustainableBuildings

We are excited to inform you that our Climate Pact Ambassadors are embarking on the execution of their joint activity! They will be reviewing case studies for buildings which have energy efficiency or renewable energy in geographical locations between Cork & Bray. This will require them collaborating with Sustainable Energy Communities (SEC) to help develop a two-page case study of the climate impact of these renovated buildings. #MyWorldOurPlanet #EUClimatePact EU Environment and Climate David Boles

#365DaysofSustainability, Day 66: In an effort to combat climate change and manage GHG emissions, the State of Massachusetts requires projects to submit energy models during the permitting process. Energy models help teams understand projected energy use and anticipated GHG emissions on an annual basis. Emerald Built Environments worked with Sustainable Energy Analytics, Inc. to get the permit documentation package together for a 100k SF mixed-use apartment building on Beale Street. #Sustainability #EnergyModel #GHGEmissions

NEWS from March, 25th: “Today’s industrial decarbonization announcement is an exciting moment in the clean energy transition,” said Laura Brannen, senior policy advisor and federal climate policy lead at The Nature Conservancy. “The industrial sector is responsible for roughly one-third of U.S. emissions. But because of how much energy a lot of industries require, it’s hard to make a quick switch to clean energy sources. By investing in these demonstration projects and emerging technologies, the Department of Energy is helping set the industrial sector up for a sustainable future that will strengthen U.S. manufacturing while also benefitting the climate and our communities." #industrialdecarbonization #cleanenergy #climatetech
