How can the construction industry, responsible for 8% of global CO2 emissions, play a pivotal role in long-term carbon storage? Our ???????????? ???????????????? ?????????? takes a deep dive into the use of ?????????????? ???? ????????????????, a solution that not only reduces emissions but also stores carbon securely for thousands of years. Biochar can replace a portion of traditional cement, improving the environmental footprint of concrete while enhancing its strength and durability. What’s more, it offers long-term carbon storage, even when concrete is recycled or repurposed. For a detailed exploration of how biochar is transforming both carbon removal and construction practices, read our full position paper! https://bit.ly/3X2nPJZ #sustainability #carbonremoval #biochar #construction #concrete #cement
I would love to figure out the mix that needs to occur to make a good concrete. Is it a % of cement or aggregate? How much of a role does particle size play? It could be a good way to dispose of some contaminated char potentially. Or other strengthening minerals could be added.
Fascinating idea! Using biochar in concrete could significantly transform the construction industry's carbon footprint. It's exciting to see innovative solutions that not only reduce emissions but also improve material properties. What other sustainable materials do you think could revolutionize construction in the coming years? #GreenBuilding #CarbonStorage #SustainableInnovation
Further awareness of the capabilities of biochar ??
Interesting. Meanwhile , the enormous energy in Biochar will be lost .
Keep up the awsame work Ludvig??
