Plans for an office complex near Forsyth Park advanced after receiving zoning approval from the MPC. The project at West Park Avenue and Whitaker Street will replace the Sterling Seacrest site with a multi-story building and underground parking. The rezoning allows for a larger building footprint and height. Despite neighborhood opposition, the Victorian Neighborhood Association supports the project. Development news: Lovell Plants New Tree and Bench at Kirk Ella Development in Partnership with Local Council Lovell, a leading name in property development, has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing local green spaces by planting a new tree and installing a bench at The Sycamores development. This initiative was made possible through a grant provided by the East Riding Local Council and championed by local ward Councillor Gary McMaster. The new tree replaces an infected oak that had to be removed during the construction of the development. The oak’s removal was necessary to ensure the safety and longevity of the area’s natural environment. Now, thanks to the collaboration between Lovell and the council, the space has been rejuvenated with a vibrant new tree that symbolises growth and sustainability. A new bench has also been installed, providing a tranquil spot for residents and visitors to enjoy the revitalised surroundings. #Miami’s high-rise development is particularly notable on a national scale, largely due to the city’s emphasis on taller buildings. While comprehensive lists for each city detailing developments with 12 or more floors may be limited, CTBUH’s data tables provide valuable insights. For instance, Miami currently has?17 towers under construction?that exceed 492 feet (150 meters, or approximately 45 floors), surpassing?New York City’s 13. It’s important to note that NYC is the only city with more high-rises under construction at lower heights than Miami. Despite this, Miami’s focus on taller structures makes its development impressive and competitive, second only to New York City’s sheer scale of construction.
