We are delighted to announce that we have secured planning permission for our proposed 50MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility at Saddlebow, Kings Lynn following a successful planning appeal. This follows the refusal of our application against Officers’ advice at Committee last year with the Inspector concluding that the identified benefits of the proposal including supporting the transition to Net Zero carry substantial weight and therefore significantly outweigh the limited changes that would occur in landscape terms and the temporary loss of a relatively small area of best and most versatile agricultural land. ? This is our 12th planning success, with the appeal decision restoring our 100% success rate and bringing our total of consented projects to 670MW. ? Thank you to all who played a part in our latest planning success, particularly Claire Hewett at Engena Planning and David Hardy at CMS UK ? #cambridgepower #planning #pigeon #planningsuccess #netzero #cleanenergy ?
Goodness it has taken longer than it should to get this permission but well done all! It was great to work with you. Special thanks go to Claire Hewett for being so good at her job.
Excellent well done team! Hopefully helps our solar project close by!
