Buyers have spent years complaining about outbound. Sellers have spent years complaining that outbound is broken. Somehow we think this is the fix? This is not how you build trust.

I think both "sides" are correct here... On the one hand, I agree with Brooklin Nash that it's a terrible email. Low quality writing. On the other hand, saving 7 hours per week is $$$ If you're playing a numbers game with marketing, as I'm sure many people who deploy cold emailing are, (hello dears) it's a game of casting the widest net possible and focusing on reducing how much it costs to build the net and cast it. ChatGPT is the greatest thing for them since the industrial revolution. If you're playing a relationship-building, audience cultivation game, craftsmanship of the message and the strategy is more important than how quickly you can deploy, so using ChatGPT is really more useful for brainstorming and creating internal deliverables to help build an omnichannel My prediction is that in the near future, AI-generated emails will become as successful as the infamous "you happen to be related to a late Nigerian prince and entitled to $1,000,000" emails of the early 2000s And I also predict that around that time, AI-generated emails will get better, and still be useful in those wide-net strategies, deployed by corporations, and SMB will still have opportunity to win by building community around their businesses. At the end of the day, humans who create community will beat AI in the future the way bars survive crazy rent hikes by hosting trivia and live music. I have a confession about my inbox, a problem I had when blessed with many positive replies. Yesterday a friend was telling me about an email system they launched, first time they're doing so, and they're being quite successful... But they're getting more replies than they can handle... It happened to me once. The first time I started sending spray-and-pray emails en masse, I got hundreds of replies in one week—more than I could handle...
