SDRs who feel they need to do this are the ones that they're told you need to make 100 calls a day. Focus on outcomes (connects/conversation/meetings booked). I'm more impressed if you can get away with calling less people but getting a higher connect rate than the other way around. Means you're not burning through your TAM and you're being more clever with your time

I have low pick up rates but usually higher rates on email/ LinkedIn because I make sure to reference one of those... if that makes sense. ??
Great post and guide/blog Jack! It's true, for some of us as SDRs the pressure of hitting kpi's is enormous. We push through 'the suck' of low connect rates and feel overwhelmed. Communication and a healthy team environment help mitigate these challenges between mgmt. and sales reps.
