Join me live on Wednesday for the unveiling of the California Doughnut Snapshot, an assessment of California's performance under the framework of doughnut economics! My home state of California is the 5th largest economy in the world (bigger than the UK in GDP terms). The situation here is complicated -- we have the highest relative poverty rate in the United States, despite being one of the most politically progressive states. This snapshot, the result of more than a year of research by the California Doughnut Economics Coalition, will offer a unique perspective on how California is faring in balancing essential social foundations with the ecological boundaries of our planet.
