Collaborating with long-term partners isn't about going through the same rinse-and-repeat process. It's about continuously evolving to meet their changing needs. Over 7 years after we designed and developed our first site with Chicago History Museum, it was time for an upgrade. This time, we focused on delivering the most critical features first, then worked on the rest in phases. Taking a new approach provided immediate value while also laying the groundwork for lasting success. ???????? #BuiltByClique

Join Stone-Olafson, the Rozsa Foundation, and invited panelists to discuss the results of the 2nd wave of research on arts audiences in AB. Alberta continues to be at a crossroads brought by a pandemic that has changed public life and reshaped our economy. This is especially true in the Arts & Culture sector which continues to experience a decline in engagement with events and activities. This work was developed for this sector exclusively. It is designed to provide specific, relevant and reliable facts to support the leaders in the arts & culture sector as they build relevance and grow attendance. Key topic areas from Wave 2: -Exploring arts engagement and general perceptions -Understand audiences’ preferences for content, programming, and ticket purchasing -Understanding opportunities for increasing support and engagement This work is designed to be shared. The ultimate goal is to build on collaboration by sharing resources that can drive smart and focused engagement strategies. All are welcome. A new interactive platform has been launched on our website. https://lnkd.in/dX7VD4QF The blog was created to communicate information and establish a two-way communication channel. This dedicated section is employed for pursuing continuous engagement with updated materials and research. We invite interested parties (managers, practitioners, team leaders, etc.) to contribute content regarding their experiences of current challenges that GLAMs and CCIs face (due to the pandemic or more generally) and successful ways to tackle them and adjust. In GLAMMONS, the Members of the Consortium will commit resources to ensure active maintenance of the platform (also beyond the end of the project), and that it will continue to serve as a valuable source for related research. To start, we propose an article entitled "Transforming Insights: Adapting GLAMs to a Commons Framework" introducing a fresh perspective on Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAMs), framing them as potential commons, shared spaces produced and managed by their communities. Be the first to comment and open the discussion! #horizoneurope #researchimpacteu #glammons

"Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got." While in Boston this week, I could have visited Boston Common, Museum of Fine Arts, or the JFK Presidential Museum & Library, but a top priority on my agenda was Cheers, the setting for one of the best sitcoms ever! When reflecting on the great theme song for Cheers, the lyrics are almost a parody for business... Essentially, we all have obstacles to get through, but connecting with people in an authentic way can transcend those obstacles. So here's to old friends and newly cultivated relationships in Boston, the city "where everybody knows your name... And they're always glad you came!" #CapitalMarkets, #InvestmentSales, #CRE, #CommercialRealEstate, #RealEstateInvestment

Head of Community Engagement (Ex-Apple) | Creative Producer | Creative Workshop facilitator | Experience in Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts, and Tech
As we grow over the years we must look to our more analogue establishments and identify what it is that keeps them thriving as social spaces. My new role in Hanwell Community Library has given me a fresh perspective on the world of perceived analogue structures; what can they tell us about what we value as people? ???? ???? ???? ???? When we see #libraries is it solely the books or more the shared experience of searching for books, reading, the activities, the humanity? ?? When we see #cinemas is it solely the films or more the shared experience of the anticipation, the emotion, the humanity? ?? When we see #museums is it solely the artifacts or more the shared experience of the history, the context, the humanity? ?? Our analogue spaces are often deemed passive, but they encompass the most active, pure experiences of humanity, the ones we are able to share with one another, the ones that leave an ever lasting impression on our experience of the world. ?? ?? ?? ?? We must support these spaces, by investing our time, our presence, and money where our humanity thrives - for our own social survival. #community #communityspace #communityspaces #thirdspaces #thirdspace #londoncommunity #londonthirdspaces

"Resistance doesn't just help one individual - it's a group action with a group effect." - @tlantic Xplorer. The Atlantic Explorers, an innovative youth collective, delved into the profound concept of 'People, Power, and Resistance' through a thought-provoking zine-making project. Inspired by the Black Atlantic exhibition at The Fitzwilliam Museum, this group contemplated the personal meaning of 'People, Power, and Resistance' and their significance for individuals and communities. Through a series of introspective questions, each student chose a word and reflected on its essence, importance to them, and its broader relevance. They then swapped zines, challenging one another to understand and communicate their peers' perspectives. The Atlantic Explorers perceive ‘Resistance’ as unapologetically being your authentic self, staying grounded in the present moment, and collectively challenging systems of oppression through unified action that creates positive change for all. This collaborative project, part of the FUTURE/POWER partnership between The Fitzwilliam Museum, Museum X, and Soham Village College, empowers young people to engage in interdisciplinary co-research spaces. By exploring complex themes through creative expression, they are engaging with, influencing and developing the knowledge our future societies will be built on. ?? I am partially posting the impactful documentaries I've watched to demonstrate my passion for learning and the breadth of topics I am familiar with (that would make me a fantastic employee). Tomorrow, I'm probably going to post one on Crisis Finance that, even if I was aware of it, made me lose my mind a little. So why a documentary about fashion history? This video started my love of learning fashion history, reflecting what I mean when I say "I love history." Octopi legitimately climbed around the Roman sewer system and into people's houses. In ancient Egypt, men got time off work to help with house chores when their wives or daughters were menstruating. While wars are important, there's a lot of history that gets skipped over. I see museums as places people will go to learn, as places they will be awed, be transported. In the modern day, museums are more important than ever, even with the existence of media that one could presume unseats their place in society. Don't stuff an entire continent into one room. Return the Benin bronzes, the Elgin marbles. Fill the GEM. Return totem poles, and provide funding to buy modern-day equivalents at respectful prices instead of digging up graves. Fill interactive rooms for kids that are always emitting laughter and talking that echo around the marble monolith. My local Girl Scout council gave me the opportunity to design an exhibit for the grand opening of the STEM Center of Excellence, seen by thousands. I have so many ideas in so many disciplines, ideas to facilitate inter-community dialogue and understanding in an ever-isolated society. Someday, museum work will be how I leave my impact on the world, even if I don't live to see the garden. https://lnkd.in/gydkzYCm
