This Journey

Falling - deeper and deeper
Sad and low
The tears flow
How much lower -I could not know
Down to the depths of despair
Where nothing grows there and not many really care
A lonely place to be -that no one else can see
They are not walking in my shoes and I wouldn't want them to
No one should feel this enduring pain
The tiredness and aches that drive you insane
The despair
But they do care -and those that matter try to help
Then one day -gradually -hope starts to show
Out of the darkness I step -and back towards the light
Happiness the choice and better company
Breaking through
No more depression or anxiety
Changing my outlook - transforming my life
Choosing to look on the bright side
Positivity returning
My soul yearning -my spiritual awakening
Feeling at peace
Finally free of the burden that captured me
Free like a bird stretching it's wings
Now loving life - my heart sings
How far away the darkness now appears
Time wasted on so many tears
Now those tears have turned to joy
My lesson has been won
I know - I'm not the only one
Time heals and love shares
Halving the burden on your shoulders
It takes courage to face your fears
But once achieved -it can add life to your years
Now I tackle everything and I'm grateful for the test
It made me realise I'm stronger than I could have ever guessed
Emerging
Like a Phoenix from the ashes
Transformed
Knowing it was time to fly away
The best decision made to this day
And now an improved version of me, battle worn but free
Karma holding the key for those that aided my misery
Whilst I forgive so I can move on
Loving those that nurtured me back
Helping me to get on the right track
Quality times
I now know the signs - and will stay true to my inner me
As I continue on the road - this journey unfolding in front of me xx
