Wilding pines are an issue here in the Waikato too, particularly South Waikato. You can play your part in helping control the spread by checking your property for pest pines and if you find them you can hand-pull or hand-saw young seedlings, saw or chainsaw medium to large trees, or use herbicide, either injected directly into the tree, or applied to bark.
