Happy Monday!! This is a photo of my friends construction site in Saint Mary, Jamaica. This was a cliff side when he bought it, now it’s becoming a beautiful villa because of his vision. Imagine a grand cathedral rising from a barren landscape; each stone laid with purpose, one at a time. In life, just as in construction, our dreams take shape through consistent effort. It is in the steady rhythm of placing each stone that we build our vision, reminding us that even the greatest accomplishments begin with a single step. What steps are you taking? What stones are you laying? What will you accomplish this week?

What is the oldest building in Port Moresby? It still stands and it’s 133 years old. One of the reasons I decided on formalizing and rebranding our property consulting to LOT542 wasn’t just about helping people buy sell rent property etc. I like the stories behind the places and buildings we see or cross daily. They have to be told which is why our consulting has to be fun and interesting - it’s part of the brand we want to create. Do subscribe to our mailing list or follow LOT542 here on LinkedIn. So to answer the ?? question click the link below but before you do, take a guess by commenting below which building you think is the oldest. (Please no cheating ??)

It was 115 degrees when I first laid eyes on the Pyramids of Giza, but the heat did nothing to dispel excitement seeing these beauties in person. I learned that these sandy and pitted monuments built almost 5,000 years ago, used to be covered in white, polished limestone which could be seen shining from miles away. A local expert said much of the limestone was removed and repurposed by Napoleon and his army. There are varied and often, hotly contested, hypotheses about?construction techniques, the "why it was built" and purposes of the building and its contents. It reminds me of some business improvement projects: misunderstood/misaligned purposes, political conflicts, backwards re-engineering, and resources scavenged to the detriment of everyone involved. If you want forward progress that isn't anchored in history - let us know! #Ellberry #ProgramAcceleration #ProjectOptimization
