Even as women have made major strides in the working world, they are still held responsible for household work when they get home. According to McKinsey & Company's 2024 Women in the Workplace report, 4 in 10 women with partners say they are responsible for the majority of the housework - and this number has gone up since 2016. What's more, younger working women are experiencing this at the same rate as older women, which shows that even the more "progressive" younger generations are struggling to change those deeply rooted gender norms that place domestic housework on women. At C200, we know that support for working women can look like networking, it can also be as simple (and important) as doing the dishes. How do you support the working women in your life? #SuccessShared #WomenInBusiness

The recently released Women in the Workplace 2024 report by McKinsey & Company highlights some persistent challenges women face in advancing their careers. Women in the workplace still see their gender and race as barriers to their career advancement. 36% of women believe their gender will make it harder for them to advance, compared to just 15% of men. Interestingly, younger women are twice as likely as older women to believe their gender will hinder their advancement, while older men are twice as likely as younger men to express the same concern. We only talk about gender inclusivity but only 4% of us are able to implement it. We don't include women at the workplace only because they should be given a chance. BUT It is proven that workplaces that include women generate 61% more revenue than other organizations. Hence, it is not only a SOCIAL WORK but also a BENEFICIAL TAKE for the growth of your company. So, we are not talking about doing pity on women. We are talking about making the profit of our businesses. Does your startup prioritize women employees or not? Our 10th women in the workplace report is out - it suggests modest advances in the C-suite over the last ten years which are worthwhile to celebrate. Yet they are also partially driven by reduction of line roles (mostly occupied by men) and an increase of added staff roles—that is, positions in support functions, such as human resources, legal, and IT—and hired women into these new positions. A viable path to parity is still missing and we see company commitments to diversity are declining. And that is not just towards gender diversity but also towards all other types of diversity including ethnicities and disabilities especially. Microagressions are still the daily experience of many diverse employees. But there is a way to change, we have all the right concepts and tools. Much more action to do for all of us! #diversity #DEI #women https://lnkd.in/e_X_htwZ

According to the latest Women in the Workplace report from McKinsey and LeanIn.Org, 28% of C-suite in US are women, compared to 22% in 2018. This is for sure an improvement but there’s still a long way to walk since such percentage is 48% at entry level. #enablingevolution
