A vital component for high-tech-driven economic development is a new model of cooperation between Ann Arbor and Detroit. That's according to Richard Florida, founder of Creative Class Group, who was commissioned by the Detroit Regional Chamber and the University of Michigan to study the establishment of an innovation corridor to link the two cities' burgeoning startup ecosystems. Dug Song, Josh Sirefman, Jessica Robinson and other industry leaders spoke on the strengths and needs of the two communities at the annual Detroit Policy Conference yesterday.
