Friendship isn’t just something that happens—it’s something we practice. Last week I was in Barcelona for a YPO global meeting where I met fellow speaker, Chip Conley. While walking along the beach we had a deep discussion about this very concept. Chip challenges us to think of friendship like we do fitness or personal growth: with intention, effort, and consistency. It’s about showing up for others, listening, and adding value without expecting something in return. True connection transcends business—it’s about trust, shared experiences, and mutual support.
