Facebook temporarily banned news in Australia in 2021 over bill forcing them to pay media companies.

UNCONSIONABLE CONDUCT by Australia Scott Morrison former PM and Josh Frydenberg former Treasurer in Australia somehow started the trend in Australia but their Liberal Party were kicked out of government for such and other unconscionable conduct. Facebook should remove Australian news from its platform altogether. All we get now are clickbait headlines on their platforms and no article unless we pay for a subscription. Facebook is paying media groups to place ads on its own platform in Australia when it is usual for media to pay for the ads. Should Facebook pay readers and contributors for using Facebook?

Facebook, like many others, is a baby. These companies retract their product or pull away if they don't get their way. Twitter did this because of App Store policies, and Apple did this with the factory in China.

2 年Does FB have its own news team of investigative reporters, or does it merely repeat what it finds elsewhere - sourced by news media organizations such as AP, a service that stations must pay for? If it’s the latter, there’s a price to pay.
