Accenture highlights a significant gap between employee aspirations and organizational actions regarding generative AI. With 94% of workers eager to learn new skills related to generative AI, there is a clear desire for growth and adaptation in the workforce. However, only 5% of organizations are making substantial efforts to reskill their employees at scale. McKinsey advocates the importance of workforce upskilling and reskilling to adapt to technological advancements like AI. They generally advocate for organizations to invest in training and development programs that empower employees to acquire new skills relevant to emerging technologies. For organizations, this presents both a challenge and an opportunity. The challenge for all HR lies in bridging the gap to meet employees' expectations. Failing to do so may lead to dissatisfaction, higher turnover rates, and difficulties in attracting top talent. The opportunity is definitely significant. Organizations that invest in reskilling programs today, will harness the enthusiasm of their workforce, leading to increased innovation, productivity, and competitiveness. It is upto us that by supporting employees in learning new skills, we ensure they are well-equipped to leverage generative AI, driving better business outcomes. #hr #upskilling #ai Puneet Chandok Rohit Thakur

Successful organizations actively reshape the workforce, involve employees in change efforts, and recognize the need for significant process changes to leverage AI effectively. Agile Workforce: Leading organizations invest in skills mapping and data integration to create an agile workforce, focusing on both soft and technical skills and anticipating significant productivity gains. Learning and Trust: Despite 94% of workers expressing readiness to learn generative AI skills, only 5% of organizations provide training at scale. Building a culture of learning and addressing employee concerns is crucial for a smoother adoption of generative AI

I have always believed in the importance of continuous learning. The recent Forbes article on Gen AI by Accenture’s EMEA CEO Jean-Marc Ollagnier reinforces this conviction. It is estimated that Gen AI has the potential to increase Europe's economic value by €2.3 trillion over the next 15 years. To seize this opportunity, organizations must undertake a complete reinvention of processes and ways of working, preparing all their people for this new reality, from leaders who understand the technology to employees with the right skills. Accenture suggests four steps for this transformation: leading by example in transformation, reinventing work, redesigning the workforce by prioritizing continuous talent reinvention, and preparing people through investments in technical training. I am open to change, but for now, I believe the label on my profile still holds true: "Life Long Learner." accntu.re/4aIaOdp #GenAI #ContinuousLearning #DigitalTransformation #Innovation #EnterpriseReinvention

?? TWO TRILLION EUROS ?? The value of workforce reinvention in a time of Generative AI over the next 15 years... pretty huge right? With 44% of all working hours being automated or augmented, leaders need to invest in skilling and prepare organisations to embrace CHANGE. Really liked the 4 steps set out by Jean Marc Ollagnier to prepare the workforce: 1. Set and example by leading & learning in new ways 2. Work must be reinvented (in less consulting terms; shift all workflows, jobs, activities) 3. Reshape our workforce (declining -> emerging roles) 4. Prepare & invest in people Honestly so excited to witness this huge global change that we are expecting to see over the next few years, and be part of an organisation (Accenture) on the forefront of that change.
