I've actually seen first hand where the tech layoffs happened last year. And these were major Fang companies, which is like your Facebook and Amazon, right? Netflix companies out there though, they're considered Fang. But with those companies, they did layoffs last year too. And, and I've noticed and I've kind of learned from my environment was a lot of the people felt ashamed. You know, they, they've been with, you know, Google for 15 plus years and that's all they know. And then when they got the news of being laid off, it was kind of like a shocker. And then they were ashamed that they didn't want to, they didn't want to tell people, they didn't want to tell their friends or family that they got laid off because they felt like it was a, you know, a scarlet letter that they were ashamed of them. Yeah, it's like a reflection on them and they took it personally and so. Umm, we found out that, you know, these people didn't announce their layoffs until six months later. Ohh And. Then they're in panic mode. You know, we've seen on LinkedIn that they were like. I waited too long. Now my severance is almost up, my unemployment is running now it's my mortgage is due. I I'm in panic mode and so. I recognize that right away, you know, And I told myself. If I do get a layoff. That I'm not gonna go ahead and waste anytime. I'm gonna go ahead and put all my effort and energy. Into making connections. Reaching out to people that I've worked with in the past and said, hey, do you have any referrals? Do you have any leads? And really just making sure I make use of the time that I've been laid off. And and use it productively. And so that's how I was able to to really handle the news here just by learning first hand experience, you know what people have gone through and, and not going through.
