We’re grateful for the support of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation and their commitment to our shared goal: literacy for all! Their generous support has been key in the success of our Cougar Tutors initiative, which places University of Houston students in high-need classrooms to provide academic support. Through our collaboration, Cougar Tutors have provided more than 10,000 hours of tutoring annually and have contributed to significant milestones, such as the transformation of Blackshear Elementary from an F-rated school to an A-rated school. However, our impact goes beyond numbers and ratings – it’s about changing the lives of our students. We’re grateful for the foundation’s continued investment in the future of our students, and we look forward to continuing and expanding our partnership.
