The thought of hiring overseas scares some people. I get it. It's a hard concept to imagine. Most people don't travel much outside their own country. Can a foreigner in a random country on the other side of the world really be help me run my business? Will they understand what i need them to do. How will i train them? How will they communicate with clients? But it's not as different from hiring locally as you might think. All of this can be done. The FACT is, Hiring offshore staff works. I can look at my own experience as proof- practically my entire operation is run from overseas. I can also point to the hundreds of clients i've helped who rely on our offshore employees. I’ll be the first to admit that I love a hybrid workplace. Whether that’s once monthly in-office or several times weekly. As someone who has worked remotely for YEARS, I do value the time spent with my team. I need to be away from home sometimes and as a parent, it’s easier to justify leaving home for work than it is simply just for my mental health. (That’s not right, but it’s the truth) I also can’t ignore the value of all the hours I’ve been able to give to my children over the past *almost 9* years thanks to remote and hybrid work. I don’t think we have to land in either the “remote” or “in-office” camp. I think we, as a collective workforce, HAVE to focus more on flexibility for individuals and less on what the company-wide policy must be. Because what is good for the employee is good for the company PERIOD. Autonomy and flexibility are the future of business success. I’ll never stop preaching that!??
