Last Saturday at 1:21 AM PT marked the Winter Solstice—the darkest night of the year and a powerful invitation to go inward. It’s a time to reflect on what no longer serves us and to sense what habits, thoughts, or dynamics want to be released or shifted. Every year, my husband and I honor this moment with a ritual. We take a night away, put away our phones and credit cards, and slow down to truly listen to ourselves and each other. This practice helps us connect with what matters most and align our intentions for the season ahead. As part of this reflection, we use a series of questions to guide us. I wanted to share them here in the hopes that they might also inspire you as we transition into a new season: ? My intention for this season is… ? My body is yearning for… ? I am ready to allow myself to… ? What am I being called to change, drop, or shift in my life? ? What habits, behaviors, or thought patterns no longer serve me? ? What am I resisting or procrastinating—and why? ? Who do I need to forgive? What will it take to forgive and let go? ? What five things make me unique, and how do they serve the world? ? My inner guidance system is trying to tell me… ? What do I really need right now, and am I willing to receive it? ? What boundaries am I not honoring or need to put in place? As we embrace the stillness of the Winter Solstice, may you find clarity, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose. My morning writing space, lovingly decorated for the holidays, is where I find warmth and comfort each morning. It’s a sacred spot to reflect, set intentions, and welcome the stillness this season invites. How do you create space for rituals and reflection during this time of year?

Happy Friday! Start it right and Create your own sunshine. It’s never a negative thought to smile to everybody you cross by. It’s never unprofessional to have a side friendly talk with your customer (they are humans too). It’s never too late to start over a day with a mistake you did before ( but you learned from it already). It’s never naive to share what you have with others ( we are all here to help each other and grow together). It’s never greedy to decide you need a self-time to reflect and decide from where to start. It’s never a bad thought to get out of your comfort zone and try something new.
