?? In an era where AI-generated images are becoming a bigger part of our online interactions, we’re dedicated to using AI responsibly and addressing any challenges that come from its misuse. This month we launched a new option under Bumble’s ‘Fake Profiles’ reporting menu, allowing our users to report profiles they suspect are using AI-generated photos and videos. We see this as a win for authenticity – something daters are telling us they want more and more of! ?? In a recent survey* conducted by Bumble, 71% of Gen-Z and Millennial respondents said they believe there should be limits on using AI-generated profile pictures and bios on dating apps. This feedback inspired our new feature, helping everyone assess the authenticity of their connections. ?? This is just the latest in our efforts to harness the power of AI to foster healthy and meaningful connections online. Earlier this year, we launched Deception Detector?, an AI tool designed to identify and weed out spam, scam, and fake profiles. Within the first two months of its launch, reports of spam, scam, and fake profiles were reduced by 45%! Before that we launched our AI-powered Private Detector? tool that automatically detects and warns users about potentially lewd images. We’re also leveraging the power of machine learning to improve user safety across our portfolio of apps – we launched AI Group Photo Blur on Badoo on Badoo earlier this year. With this feature, members can upload group photos easily without having to worry about their friends’ privacy; users can also feel safer in easily identifying who they are matching with.
