A really important piece of work to ensure our electricity system is able to scale to meet our decarbonisation targets. Having contributed to the digital elements of this bid, it highlights the ever present need to have right underlining data strategy in these complex, large scale infrastructure projects. Really pleased that we have won this commission. From a personal perspective, currently being actively involved in both onshore and offshore renewable energy projects is great. However, I have been acutely aware of the fact that while delivering new hydro-power or off shore wind is contributing to the net zero journey, if we can't transmit this power from the generation source to where it is needed, a vital piece of the jigsaw is missing. Helping to deliver this vital infrastructure will be key to providing a complete clean energy system. #WeAreArup #NetZero #Energy
