It's the final day of Monsoon May ? , another month and we're at the halfway point of 2024! ?? As we transition almost into the second half of the year, it's a perfect time for pause and reflection. Looking back at progress made so far, but also looking at areas for improvement to create a significant impact in the remaining months of the year. By continuing to innovate, lead and support the teams, being resilient, and providing the strategic vision and inspiration and checking that it's still relevant and has responded to the economic climate. At the end of every month, i ask myself these core key questions:- 1. What is something new i learned about myself and the businesses 2. Is there a new habit that i will be taking into the next month 3. How did i step outside of my comfort zone? Leaders continue to keep learning 4. What would i like to improve on next month? 5. What lessons did i learn from my failures? They help me stay accountable and acknowledge my progress. In the next few days we will come out of Spring (20th June officially in the UK) and into Summer (had enough of this rain at every single school holiday possible so far in 2024 here in Norfolk!). Spring and Summer is the time when not only should the sun shine, but where our tourism, leisure and hospitality businesses within The Goymour Group - Applewood Countryside Park, Applewood Hall and ROARR!? really come alive and at full tilt, with events at every corner and all our attractions and facilities open. Whereby the team create fantastic memorable experiences for families and the park's are absolutely buzzing of life and excitement, this is what we prep for all Winter! Alongside delivering our other BIG events such as PrimEvil - Norfolk's largest Scare Experience at ROARR!? in October/November, Spooktacular at Applewood Countryside Park in October and our Sparkle Event at ROARR!? in November/December too. We work and provide experiences all-year round diversifying our income and to keep driving visitors to these fantastic destinations. And we are working smarter with our opening times and pricing and reasons to visit, to be accessible and available to all to enjoy and experience. Here's to a productive second half of the year. With better weather hopefully too! The government are unlikely to help us much further on 4th July, or our region, which is constantly overlooked. Despite Norfolk being trail blazers feeding into the UK Economy above it's perceived weight whether that be in Tourism or Property. Therefore we must continue to help ourselves, keep turning up and work together. Whether that's Team work, or partnerships and collaboration of which all are essential and keeping ahead of the curve!
