CI/CD is a very mature market... (happy 20th b-day, Jenkins, you old rascal!) That doesn't mean it's lost its allure, though. AI-assisted coding, AI/ML projects & the outrageous scale of mobile app development are here to shake things up. And meeting these new demands won't be easy... ...which is why we're excited to share what we've been building here at Buildkite. (spoiler: it is not kites… ??) Today, we're proud to announce the launch of our new Scale-Out Delivery Platform – a way for software teams to confidently move beyond CI/CD... ...& turn delivery into their competitive advantage. "But what does this marketing PR stunt even mean?!?" we hear you snark! Happy to clarify. We describe it like this: Buildkite's Scale-Out Delivery Platform scales in four distinct dimensions: - concurrency - components - workloads - compute with the following tools to support them: - scalable workflow orchestration with Buildkite Pipelines - faster test workloads with Test Engine - secure artifact management with Package Registries - optimized mobile app delivery with Mobile Delivery Cloud With our new platform, your teams will be ready to handle anything – keeping innovation at the forefront (not treating it as “just one more thing…”). So, are you ready to tame complexity & turn software delivery into your competitive advantage? If "yes," visit Buildkite [dot] com to learn more & start your 30-day free trial. If "no," cool cool cool cool...just keep scrolling & enjoy the rest of your day. P.S. You can read more about the news here: https://lnkd.in/gVw9tanW

?????????????????????? ???????????????? ??????: ???????????? ?????????????? ???????? ?????????????? ?????????????? ???????? ????????????????! ?? Almost 3 weeks ago, Douglas and I launched the Tapeless web app. One of Tapeless’ primary features is the ability to infer client work time from your commit history using AI. Based on the feedback we have received so far, we have added a top priority item to our roadmap and we are pleased to report that we have already finalised out first version today! ?? ?????????? ????????????: Providing API tokens with repo access was too much to ask (and sometimes prohibited by NDAs) and annoying to setup. ?? ?????????????????? ??????????????: Some projects just weren’t compatible with our API Token approach. ?? ???????? ????????????????????: Hopping into a web UI for quick tasks felt clunky. So we came up with a tool that blends seamlessly into your workflow and only sends essential data to Tapeless directly from your machine. After some intense weeks, we're thrilled to unveil the ???????????????? ??????! ?? Get started now: - ????????????????: Run brew install Tapeless-App/Tapeless-CLI/tapeless. - ????????????:? Grab the latest binaries from GitHub. All source code is open and available! (https://lnkd.in/ejXtNhF2) The tapeless setup command will guide you through the setup process. Some core CLI features: - Add new projects using tapeless projects add. - Connect local repos without having to provide access using tapeless repos add. - Sync commits across projects via tapeless sync. - Quickly add time entries using tapeless time add. - Leverage AI to generate time entries with tapeless time generate. This is just version 0.1, and we're hard at work adding new features. The CLI complements our web app, letting you handle daily tasks right from your terminal, while the web UI is there for more complex workflows such as billing and invoicing. Try Tapeless CLI today at https://tapeless.app! What do you think about managing your client work directly from your CLI? ????: We are still working hard on our original top item on the roadmap and look forward to being able to provide you with news here soon!

For many years, I tried (and failed) to use a single app for many things like Evernote, Todoist, Notion, Obsidian, and many others. I stretched their limits (with custom code as well) to make them more pleasing to use and cover their weak spots. (with some paperless or mostly paper back-and-forth moments to complicate things ??) Notion was a breath of fresh air, and close to perfection at first, it allowed me to model things very differently in the same app but lack of proper offline and slowness made it unusable for quick capturing and todos for me. At some point, I understood that it was just a wasted effort. Using many apps that do their own thing well is more enjoyable for me than trying to fit into a single app mental model for everything. I lose the ability to "link" and reference stuff easily, but in reality, it's a non-issue. I don't mind having duplicate todos/projects in different apps if it allows me to think about them at different levels of detail, sometimes I need the notes, reference docs and links, sometimes just remembering that this project even exist to ask myself if it worth dedicate time to it I've used Sansama for a year, it pulls data from many different apps, from Notion to emails to GitHub to Todoist etc, allowing you to organize many things in a single visual place, this idea was very powerful for me! ? Have a single place to have an overview of what's going on ? Leave the data where it belongs, in the best app for the purpose ? Lack of Extensibility and API to make my own data source Liking this new approach I started building different tools and dashboards for myself from full-blown apps with CRQS and event sourcing to just text files and spreadsheets that get synced while edited with custom UIs charts, etc. I love doing things this way now, building many tools that do their own thing and have their data available to be aggregated in other apps. It also allows me to experiment with many technologies. I have tools in many languages, frameworks, using different databases, some self-hosted, some serverless, some using PaaS. It's a very fun playground.

Nadien de Visser recently challenged me to streamline PDF sharing from Google Drive to multiple recipients, each needing a unique, trackable link. That sounded like a good excuse to look into Google Apps Script. I automated the entire workflow without diving into complex coding using this approach. By integrating Short.io's API, the whole use case became surprisingly easy and quick to implement. Check out the code and a bit more detailed blog post in the comments! ???? #GoogleAppsScript #Automation #DocumentSharing #Shortio

???? ?????????? ???????? ?????????? ??????, ?????? ???? ?????? ???????? ???? ???????? ?????? ???? ????????????????? ?????? ???? ???????????? ?? ???????? ???????????? ???? ????????????????, ?????? 100?? ???????????????? ?????? ????????????? ?? Last night, I set out to answer this question by putting one of my Go APIs to the test. ?? My goal was to see if it could handle a substantial load—10K, 50K, and even 100K requests per minute. After a few optimizations, I decided to start by testing with 50K RPM (I wanted to go much further, but then my PC would have died haha), and the results were incredible! ????????’?? ?? ?????????? ???????? ???? ?????? ????????: ?? ???????? ????????: ??6 – an open-source tool for load testing. It's easy to use and provides detailed insights into API performance. ?? ????????????: 50,000 ???????????????? ?????? ???????????? (that's 833 requests per second!) ?? ??????????????: ? 99,974 ???????????????????? ???????????????? ? ?????????????? ???????????????? ????????: 1.89???? ?? 95% ???? ????????????????: ?????????? 3.58???? ?? ?????????? ????????: 0.00% (??????, ???????? ????????????!) I know it was a pretty basic API but it handled the load like a champ, with no failed requests and lightning-fast response times, even at peak traffic. It just goes to show the power of proper architecture and optimization. ?????? ???????? ???????? ????????????? Because in real-world applications, your API’s scalability can make or break the user experience. Whether it's an e-commerce platform during a flash sale or a service handling millions of users, ensuring your APIs can scale gracefully under pressure is crucial. I’m sharing this journey not just to showcase what’s possible, but to encourage every developer to ask themselves: Is my API truly scalable? If not, it might be time to start thinking about load testing and optimizations. ?? What’s the highest load your API has handled? I am super beginner at this and would love to discuss how we can make our APIs more robust and scalable! ?? #APITesting #Scalability #PerformanceTesting #GoLang #TechInsights
