A central focus of the Global Heart Network Foundation conference at Stanford was the powerful role of the platform in uniting Charitable Heart Teams from around the globe. These dedicated teams—ranging from small, local groups to larger organizations—share a heartfelt mission: to provide essential heart care for individuals facing a variety of challenges, from pediatric congenital conditions to rheumatic heart disease and adult cardiac care. With hundreds of such organizations operating independently across the world, each addressing their specific needs, the GHN platform offers a unique and hopeful opportunity to bring everyone together in one accessible space. The GHN platform fosters meaningful connections and collaboration among these diverse teams, creating a patient-centered, integrated network. Now, through GHN, patients have a single, user-friendly control center for their medical information, allowing for smooth transitions between different healthcare providers and cultivating an environment rich in shared knowledge and resources. This ease of access empowers patients and their caregivers to choose the best care options available, no matter where they are, while enabling providers to work together more effectively across specialties. The Stanford conference truly underscored the potential of the GHN platform to serve as a vital digital hub for Charitable Heart Teams worldwide. By promoting better coordination, breaking down barriers, and empowering patients, we can help ensure that everyone has the support and resources they need to navigate their healthcare journeys with confidence and compassion.

A little bit about Jean-Arellia Tolentino, Ph.D.- “I am: a psychologist, a researcher, a community organizer, an educator, a Filipina American, a daughter/mother/sis/partner, and the list may go on. I share this, because often therapists don’t, and to note that my work as a therapist has been cultivated from a myriad of paths taken to get through this thing called “life”. As such, I know that one’s life path can change, and depending on your context, can feel like you’re taking the same path yet have a vastly different journey and destination.” Join us at the Bukambibig Symposium (Word of Mouth) for a thought-provoking panel titled “Finding, Creating, and Cultivating Kapwa,” where we explore the power of identity, culture, community, and healing from trauma. This panel will feature influential leaders from diverse sectors, including nonprofit, healthcare, government, and technology, each bringing unique perspectives on what it means to serve and thrive in community. This conversation is more than a panel—it’s a space to reflect on how community can be a source of healing and strength. ?? Let’s come together to explore Kapwa and heal through community. Have you ever been to an event where speakers share heartfelt stories about an honoree—but the speeches go on a little too long? ?? We help organizations solve that by producing tribute videos that capture the full story in a compelling, engaging way. That’s why we’re in Bethesda, Maryland, this week with the American Pediatric Society, kicking off production on a special video for this year’s Howland Award honoree, Dr. Bonnie Ramsey. From the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to interviews in Iowa and Seattle, we’re bringing together voices that highlight her incredible impact in the medical field. Great storytelling makes all the difference in how someone’s legacy is honored. Want to make your next event more engaging? Let’s talk!?

This past Wednesday, our President and Chief Executive Officer took the stage at HLTH USA to open the #GLP1 Summit and provide his perspective on the landscape of #cardiometabolic disease management. Key takeaways: 1?? Despite spending nearly 2X more on healthcare than peer countries, the health status of Americans is deteriorating. From 2020 to 2050, the percentage of U.S. adults with chronic conditions is projected to increase by 12.4 percentage points.? 2?? Between 2020 and 2022, prescription volumes for GLP-1 medications increased 300%, and in 2021, national spending on #semaglutide (the peptide name for drugs like #Ozempic and #Wegovy)?totaled $10.7B. 3?? The increase in GLP-1 use does not correlate with clinical indication. Just over half of patients taking GLP-1s have a history of type 2 diabetes or have an associated medical visit with their prescription. Explore more?research on GLP-1s and metabolic health: https://lnkd.in/eGKQsQSs #bebold #healthcare #healthinnovation #futureofhealth #HLTH?
