The entrepreneurial spirit. You may already know there are two different types of 'preneur. Entrepreneur and the INTRApreneur... A Loose definition of the latter is an individual who works for a large company but uses their entrepreneurial skills to create and drive growth INside of that company... Intrapreneur. A great example of an intrapreneur is Jason Bressler. He leads tech innovation at one of the largest mortgage lenders in the US. He has chosen to use his skills in a large organization to make a massive impact. I great example of an entrepreneur is Megan Marsh. She has founded and led many companies in her career including Mortgage Brokerage, Commercial Mortgage Brokerage, Title Company, Coaching, and training companies, ... and now helping other Entrepreneurs and Intrepreneurs make a greater impact in their own careers. I'm certain there are many more great examples... please share others you know of. Neither is wrong. Neither is "better." it just depends on a chosen path and desired outcome... I'm curious- which are you? What are your thoughts on Entrepreneurship vs INTRApreneurship? Who are your favorite entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs?
I’ve lived this for years, my friend. 4 time Intrapreneur before taking the leap into Entrepreneurship. If you can find: - The right company - With a long-term vision - That makes resources available Intrapreneurship can be a bit of a golden ticket for a lot of people. If you want to scratch that “build something better” itch, but don’t want to take on all the risk yourself, Intrapreneurship is a fantastic way to hedge your bets and still do something meaningful.
This is a great topic BRIAN and one that I think you have a unique ability to bring to life the best parts in both! Love the respect and wisdom you have for this my friend!
Man, I love this! Most of the time we think of entrepreneurship as outside of the corporate walls but there are tons of people who would fit this definition. I'm an entrepreneur, but I wouldn't be opposed to taking my skills to the right company and being an intrapreneur!
Interesting view point. Great descriptions of the "preneur's. I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur but haven't had the stomach for it, so it forced me to be an intrepreneur. I love the breakdown. I think it is nice that both can be recognized. Great post BRIAN WEIS!
Thanks BRIAN WEIS! It's actually THE largest and number one mortgage company in the US but I really appreciate the kind words ??
That is such a great distinction,?BRIAN WEIS! There are so many incredible intrapreneurs in our industry. Some that come to mind right away are?Connor Bartley?and?Philip Rodriguez. They are both trailblazers for their companies!
Up to now, I’ve been an entrepreneur! I like the working for myself vibe!
I have never seen myself as an entrepreneur and never heard of an intrapreneur. However, with the way you described everything in this post I find that maybe I am working on becoming an intrapreneur after all! Looking forward to hearing more on the topic! Thank you, Brian!
The notion promoted by business gurus that "everyone should be an entrepreneur" is a really bad idea! While entrepreneurship comes with numerous challenges, only a select few are truly equipped to endure and succeed. That said, adopting an entrepreneurial mindset benefits everyone. Becoming an intrapreneur can be the most valuable thing you do for your organization, clients, and employees. It helps future-proof your business, making it more adaptable and prepared for whatever comes next.

1 个月Love this INTRApreneur concept. Makes a ton of sense. Many have the spirit in us, but prefer the support and structure of an existing company that they can bring those skills and ideas to.
