Job alert! The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) is hiring a?Research Fellow?to support research and policy analysis in the run-up to the 25th Anniversary of UNSCR 1325. The role:?This position will work closely with colleagues across the Institute on research activities aimed at strengthening WPS implementation, including overseeing a global survey of women peacebuilders, monitoring progress toward WPS commitments by UN Member States, and supporting a series of white papers on key WPS themes. The Research Fellow will also collaborate with the Policy Team to help identify and inform timely opportunities for policy advocacy and work to develop evidence-based policy recommendations. This role is a full-time, non-tenure line faculty position with benefits, and?applicants must have the ability to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Qualifications:?The ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a relevant field, broad substantive expertise on Women, Peace, and Security, and significant project management experience. The ability to produce policy-oriented analysis and to write for a policy audience is essential. Candidates with quantitative, survey, and mixed methods research training are particularly encouraged to apply. GIWPS is a fast-paced research institution. The Research Fellow must be organized, manage time efficiently, meet multiple deadlines, and produce work on a tight turnaround.
