Yes, they both involve injuries. Yes, they both (often) require lengthy medical treatment. Yes, they both ultimately lead to monetary compensation, if applicable. But other than that, there are few similarities in how the cases are handled. Workers' compensation law in Nevada is complex and distinct from general personal injury law. This requires your attorney to have an in-depth knowledge of these specific regulations, such as filing deadlines, required documentation, and the intricacies of the claims process. Otherwise, your claim will be handled in a manner that may lead to an unfavorable outcome. A skilled workers' comp attorney knows what benefits you are entitled to under the law. They will work to get you the appropriate medical treatment?and wage replacement. They'll also fight for the total value of the compensation owed to you for your temporary and permanent disabilities, if applicable.
