Back in 1914, we made copper kettles like the one pictured left. It now graces the front entrance and enjoys retirement as a plant holder. Today, we do bigger things, like this tank head with half-pipe coil on the right. A rich history does not have to hold a company back from embracing the future. As the world looks to new energy sources and more sustainable ways of doing things, Brighton Tru-Edge will be there to provide cryogenic equipment for gas storage and transportation. We've been around for 110 years, but honestly, we're just getting started. ??

Cycles and revenue were closely linked for two-hour batteries in July 2024. Hawkers Hill was the highest-earning battery, and the only two-hour battery to average more than 1.5 cycles per day. On average, performing an extra cycle resulted in an extra ￡2k/MW in revenue - 75% of the GB BESS index for two-hour batteries in July. The link between cycles and revenues was less clear for one-hour batteries. Capenhurst 4 was the highest-earning system, but performed fewer cycles than 20% of one-hour batteries. The cracks are beginning to show at Octopus, unfortunately: they are struggling with 1.2 million heritage Bulb customers (after Bulb went bust owing ￡2Billion+), struggling to "migrate" them onto a new billing platform Who is paying for Ofgems failings? We pay additional Standing Charges due to bankruptcy supplier debts, AND Octopus customers are now 2nd priority, not 1st , as Bulb struggle to match Bulbs cheap tariffs, "sold at a loss"... Mind you, I'd rather be with anyone else instead of EDF, Scottish Power and British Gas, who couldn't arrange a kids party in a chocolate factory , or a pis* up in a Brewery. About as much use as a chocolate fireguard ! Stay away from these corrupt companies, with zero humanity, and appalling customer services.
