There's two rules when you go to a hackathon: 1. You go no matter what your level of expertise is 2. you go NO MATTER what your level of expertise is! This Saturday I had the opportunity to join #codeblue2024. The plan was just to give support to the teams. But then I ended up getting invested into one of the challenges and a team that already had a solid plan. Never diminish the role you can play at a hackathon. In this one, I: brainstormed, learned a lot about concerning factors regarding our groundwater, clicked some buttons on the APA - Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente platform that has A LOT of data, learned how to run jupyter notebooks (failed a bit at that), ate some nice chicken tikka masala, and asked chatGPT how to get Albufeira's region outline in an svg (it was a real pain, thanks Sérgio Henriques who finally managed to find the export to svg button) ?? As usual this is also the time when you can connect to like-minded individuals and get hopes renewed that there are people out there that want to ??get ??stuff ??done?? Thanks Neural Soup and David Palecek (he/him) for getting these challenges out there, we're already seeing promising results ??
