We've teamed up with Brasseler USA to bring you next week's dental webinar, "The Use of Bioceramics in Pediatric Dentistry along with Successful Behavior Management Techniques" featuring Dr. Sara Ruby! Dr. Ruby grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. She earned both her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She then completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and University Medical Center. After practicing general dentistry for 12 years, she then returned to UPSDM in 2016 to obtain Specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry where she completed her research project in Infant Oral Health. In addition to being board certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Ruby is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Pediatric Department at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She is also an active member in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry, and a Fellow in the American Academy of General Dentistry. She attends numerous continuing education classes throughout the year to keep up with the changes in dentistry and to stay connected to other dental professionals. In her spare time, Dr. Ruby enjoys spending time with her family, two young daughters, and goldendoodle, Rose. She also loves going to Pittsburgh sporting events, concerts, and traveling.
