Unfortunately that’s what far too many companies are doing. They add a new perk to their list, fail to communicate it properly, then wonder why no one seems interested. If you’re serious about making a genuine improvement to your team’s financial wellbeing, there are some crucial things I always recommend: 1?? Carve out time to properly explain what you offer at various times throughout the year 2?? Allow your team time during working hours to use the tools available to them. Yep, that means booking time into their calendars to step away from their emails and get signed up to the initiatives you offer 3?? Ask for employee feedback 4?? Share examples and stories from people who’ve benefitted It’s totally worth the effort. For companies, it means their benefits aren’t sitting unused on a shelf, gathering dust. And for employees, it means they’re able to utilise tools and support that will make them better off.
