A post in an upcoming series of observations and support for delivering practical science in schools. Despite a wide range of excellent studies over the last 14 years from Ofsted, Dyson, CBI, Wellcome Trust, to name but a few, identifying what good science lessons look like and the need for much more practical science (it is after all an inherently 'practical' subject!)...there remain challenges for both primary schools and secondary schools in delivering effective and routine inspiring practical science lessons.....there is still far to much 'board work' and worksheets......this will not generate the nations, future scientists.
