Last week, I officially launched Propane Patrol (https://propanepatrol.com), an app to help avid RVers find propane refill locations and compare refill prices across the U.S. Propane is a critical resource for most RVers, but prior to Propane Patrol, there was no app that reliably reported where RVers could refill tanks, and zero apps that reported propane pricing. Turns out that pricing can vary quite a bit, and Propane Patrol can save RVers up to $1 per gallon by simply surfacing the lowest per-gallon price within a given area. During cooler months, RVers across the country will go through up to 7 gallons of propane per week, and some will use even more during cold snaps. With over a million full-time RVers in the U.S and millions more avid RVers who use their RV for months at a time, there was a solid opportunity here to solve a clear pain point for a larger niche. Also, a little update about my company: I’m in the process of slowly pivoting Westline Studio from a (one-person) agency to a product dev studio focused on building niche products with recurring revenue. Propane Patrol is the first of those products, and I’m excited to solve a problem I’ve experienced myself many times.
